Forest Hills Field Hockey believes in youth development, and that it's never too early to start dreaming.
The Forest Hills Field Hockey middle school program started in 2012 with a handful of girls in Cascade Township Park. Some of the players who joined that first season later became leaders on the club's first state championship team!
The middle school team may be one team or two, depending on numbers. It focuses on development over competition. Locally, games can be played against teams from East Grand Rapids or Rockford. The feature event of the season is traditionally the Dexter Middle School Challenge near Ann Arbor. FH2 has also sent teams to the Pumpkin Classic event hosted by Windy City Field Hockey near Chicago.
As part of the club's commitment to youth development, founder and head coach Andrea Shaner has stepped down from leading the high school varsity team and is now focusing on the middle school and younger programs.
It's a great time to be part of Forest Hills Field Hockey!
